Chez Rainville Outfitter is renowned for its sandy beach and its strategic location on the Baskatong lake. Fish is abundant with a wide variety of specie but most popular catches are walleye and pike. If you visit us, you'll enjoy quality campsites, equipped cabins, full marina services and convenience store. All this much less far than you might think! Only 2h30 from Gatineau/Ottawa, 3h from Montreal, 3h from Val-D'Or on paved roads. If you decide to visit us with your family, children will enjoy our playgrounds and indoor games and, of course, the sandy beach. If you are a boat lover, you will be in heaven! We offer very affordable boat ramp and docks, and you can literally get lost on the Baskatong Lake, an inland sea of more than 400 km2. If lost, just give us a call, as cell phones are working everywhere on site and in the greater parts of the lake. If you want to leave your boat at home or if you are not yet a boat owner, no worries! We rent several motorboats and three pontoons. We also rent non-motorized boats such as kayaks and paddle boards. More of the down-to-earth type? The federated all terrain vehicle trail will delight you and is next to our business. In addition, several quiet streets and trails can also enhance walkers and cyclists' enthusiasts. From Ottawa/Gatineau (2h30): Route 105 N towards Maniwaki. Continue to Grand-Remous. Turn onto 117 S for 1.7 km (0.62 mi.), then left onto "Chemin Baskatong". From Montreal (3h44): Route 117 N to Grand-Remous and turn right on "Chemin Baskatong" to the outfitter (25 km [16 mi.]). Paved road. From Val-d'Or (3h00): Route 117 S to Grand-Remous, then turn left on "Chemin Baskatong".
